Humanimal Trust Appoints New Chief Executive

Humanimal Trust has appointed a new Chief Executive. Joe Bailey joins the charity in November from RSPCA Assured, where she has been Head of Farming, Welfare and Wellbeing for the last seven years, having started her RSPCA career as an Inspector and with a total of more than 20 years working in the animal welfare sector.

Looking forward to her new role, Joe said:

Although I feel honoured to be appointed as CEO, it's not the title that is important, it's the opportunity to be who I am, living and working my values, and being part of the Humanimal Trust vision alongside dedicated and passionate people.  The pandemic has given us a massive opportunity to show how a One Medicine approach will enable us to be stronger together and create a sustainable future for us all. Our priorities must be centred around awareness, education and raising funds to achieve our objectives and maximise our impact.”

Chair of Humanimal Trust’s Board of Trustees, Professor Roberto La Ragione welcomed Joe to the charity, saying:

“On behalf of all Humanimal Trust trustees, staff and volunteers, I would like to welcome Joe to the team and wish her well in the challenges ahead as we seek to build a movement for One Medicine together. Joe’s experience speaks for itself, and I have no doubt that her understanding of and passion for our purpose will help take Humanimal Trust to the next level.”
