Dr Mike Uglow is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. Mike works as a specialist in children’s orthopaedics and surgery of the foot and ankle in children and adults.
He also has an interest in sports injuries and provides orthopaedic services for patients of all ages with foot and ankle problems. Children’s orthopaedics covers hip, knee and lower leg problems especially and he specialises in limb length and deformity correction.
Mike has published papers on several topics including clubfoot surgery and various aspects of orthopaedic trauma and is actively involved in ongoing research and education. He is developing techniques to operate through minimal sized wounds to produce small cosmetically appealing scars, especially in children.
